Simple expectations for using Connie's Skin.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Connie's Skin, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms where you live. The service, including the optional AI scan, is intended for adults. Do not use the service or submit personal information if you are under 18.

3. Accounts

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account until you notify us or delete it. A guest identity is not recoverable by email until you complete account setup. Save your account before logging out or changing devices if you want to retain access; use the explicit deletion action to remove guest data.

4. Skincare guidance is not medical care

Routine suggestions, ingredient cautions, reminders, progress information, and product descriptions are educational and cosmetic. They are not diagnosis, treatment, a prescription, or a substitute for professional judgment.

Skin and product reactions vary. Patch test when appropriate, follow product instructions, stop using products that cause irritation, and seek qualified care for persistent, severe, sudden, or concerning symptoms. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

5. AI skin scan

The optional scan estimates visible cosmetic characteristics from a submitted image. Results can be wrong, incomplete, biased by lighting/camera conditions, or change when the model changes. Do not use a scan result to make a medical decision.

Only upload an image you have the right and permission to use. Do not upload another person's image without their clear consent. Face-photo processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Optional orders and prices

When Shopify checkout is offered, displayed prices and availability may change before checkout. Review the seller identity, products, total, taxes, shipping, fulfillment timing and return/refund terms shown at checkout before placing an order. Shopify and the payment provider shown there process payment information. Contact support about an existing order or an earlier Stripe payment.

Product purchases are for physical goods. Routine organization and tracking do not require a bundle or redemption code. Deleting your app account does not itself cancel an order, initiate a refund or remove transaction records that must be retained.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service unlawfully, deceptively, or to harm another person.
• Upload content you do not have permission to use.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Interfere with security, rate limits, servers, or normal operation.
• Automate abusive requests, scrape private areas, or reverse engineer protected portions except where law permits.
• Use AI scan features to identify a person, diagnose a condition, or make high-impact decisions about another person.

8. Third-party services

Connie's Skin relies on services such as Supabase, Google Gemini API, Shopify, Stripe for applicable historical transactions, Resend, device operating systems, and GitHub Pages. Their terms and privacy policies may apply to the portions they provide. We are not responsible for an independent third-party website you choose to visit.

9. Ownership and feedback

Connie's Skin, its original design, copy, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable law. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the service. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without obligation to you.

10. Changes and availability

We may add, change, pause, or discontinue features, including beta features, scan limits, recommendations, products, or checkout. We may correct errors and update the app to protect security or comply with platform rules.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that guidance, scans, recommendations, reminders, product information, or availability will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or suitable for you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connie's Skin and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address misuse, comply with law, or discontinue the service.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms apply, where permitted.
